Who is Cassie?

Cassie once had featured billing and a leading dancer's career, but after years away from steady work she returns to audition for a spot in the anonymous chorus line, the very kind of job she used to be above. Complicating matters, the director running the audition, Zach, is someone she has a romantic history with, which adds a layer of old tension to an already high-pressure room.
