THEATERLE is a free daily puzzle game for Broadway and musical theatre fans. Every day there is one mystery Broadway character to identify, and you get eight guesses to name them. It works a little like Wordle, but instead of letters you close in with theatre clues: the show a character comes from, the year that show premiered, whether the part is a lead or supporting role, who wrote the music, and more.
A brand new character is chosen every day at midnight, so there is always a fresh puzzle to solve. If one game a day is not enough, there is also a separate daily Show Guesser where you name a mystery musical instead of a character. Both games are completely free, need no account, and save your streak right on your device.
Read up on the roles behind the game. Every character has its own guide with the show, the story, and the part on stage.
THEATERLE is a free daily Broadway guessing game. Each day you try to name one mystery musical theatre character in eight guesses, using clues about the show, year, role, composer, and more.
Guess any Broadway character, then read the clues that appear. Matching categories light up and the year shows an arrow toward the answer. Keep narrowing it down until you name the character or run out of your eight guesses.
A new mystery character is chosen every day at midnight. There is also a separate Show Guesser puzzle each day if you want a second challenge.
Green means an exact match on a category, gold means you are close, and burgundy means no match. The up or down arrow next to the year points toward the answer's premiere year.
Every answer is a real character from a Broadway musical, drawn from a library of hundreds of roles across dozens of shows. You can browse them all in the character library.

Yes. Alongside the daily puzzle there is a practice mode, so you can keep playing and sharpen your skills between the daily challenges.
It shares the same daily, shareable spirit as Wordle, but it is built entirely around Broadway. Instead of guessing letters, you narrow down a character using theatre clues like show, year, role, and composer.
