Who is Mary Lennox?

Mary begins the show as a child raised in India who loses her parents and is sent to live at Misselthwaite Manor, her uncle's brooding estate in England. She arrives closed off and used to being ignored, but the strange house, its locked rooms, and the wild grounds outside slowly draw her out of her shell.

Her curiosity becomes the engine of the whole story.
