Who is Oliver?

Oliver is a helper robot living alone in a near future Seoul apartment, quietly waiting for the human owner who cared for him but has long since stopped visiting. Precise, a little old fashioned, and devoted to routine, Oliver has built a small, orderly life around the memory of his former owner rather than accepting that he has been left behind.

His world changes when Claire, another aging robot, enters his life, drawing him out of isolation and into a journey to search for fireflies, a species tied to his memories of his owner. Oliver's arc is about learning to let go of a past that will not return and to risk connection again, even knowing that robots like him are not built to last forever.

Oliver is a lead role and one half of the show's two hander structure, requiring a performer who can find deep feeling within a character built to behave like a machine, gradually loosening as the show goes on.
