The story of Oliver!

Set in 1830s London, Oliver! follows a young orphan who escapes a bleak workhouse only to fall in with a gang of pickpockets led by the wily Fagin, under the watchful and menacing presence of the criminal Bill Sikes. Along the way Oliver encounters cruelty and danger, but also unexpected kindness, as the story moves toward the discovery of his true origins.
